Fruit and vegetable cultivation
Fruit and vegetables have been grown at the Quinta since the 18th century and were at that time primarily exported to far off Prussia. This tradition has been preserved over the years and we still harvest avocados, lemons, oranges, nectarines, plums, peaches, pumpkins, carob, chillies, tomatoes, herbs and much more. These are used both in the kitchen of the Quinta das Barradas and in the restaurant of our sister hotel Boutique Hotel Vivenda Miranda.
